Montesa’s 2027 trial range comprises three models: the Cota 301RR, Cota 4RT 260R and 4Ride, all built in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda. The Cota models get new designs and parts, while the 4Ride remains unchanged. Sales begin in October 2026.
The Cota 301RR leads the lineup in bright red and white. It retains its 298 cc engine, straight from the Trial2 World Championship, and machined triple clamps. The bike also features a carbon silencer and aluminum frame, along with high-end brakes. Aimed at competition, it keeps the same engine and premium parts as before.
The 2027 lineup will be officially unveiled to the public at the Viva Montesa exhibition in Terrassa on September 29, 2026, marking the brand’s 80th anniversary. Hosted at the Museu Nacional de la Ciència i la Tècnica de Catalunya, the exhibition will showcase 80 years of Montesa history and highlight its roots in Catalan industry. It is expected to draw enthusiasts and industry figures from across Europe.
The Cota 4RT 260R is aimed at riders seeking both sport and flexibility. It shares the 301RR’s Showa front suspension and aluminum frame, and also gets a high-performance silencer. The bike comes in classic red and black. The 4Ride rounds out the range as its most multifunctional model, built for long trial rides. Its 4.3-liter fuel tank extends range without sacrificing technical ability. The 4Ride remains unchanged in appearance and mechanics for 2027; only the Cota models get new graphics and colors.
Montesa builds all three bikes in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda. Production spans engine assembly and plastic molding, as well as making the aluminum frames. Reports from Autoappassionati and GPOne say the plant covers the full production cycle, including the manufacture of aluminum and plastic parts.
Montesa also offers a full range of original accessories. These include rider mats and stands, as well as seats and covers. The company works with partners such as Hebo for technical gear and Suprametal for decorative plates. Riders can personalize their bikes with special designs and logos.
Prices are 8,200 euros for the Cota 4RT 260R and 8,450 euros for the 4Ride. The Cota 301RR costs 10,750 euros. Sales begin in October 2026.
The launch comes as Spanish brands continue to expand across the two-wheeled market. Other segments are seeing similar activity, including the arrival of the TVS Jupiter 125, as reported earlier, reflecting the variety and ambition of Spanish-based makers in the market.
