Spanish city riders looking for a simple, affordable scooter now have a new option: the TVS Jupiter 125, priced at 1,950 euros. Made in India, it prioritizes practicality and low running costs as it competes with established European and Asian brands.
Reports from Motor16 and Mundo Deportivo say TVS’s move into Spain is part of a wider plan. The brand began its official expansion into the Iberian market in 2026 with Grupo Multimoto. The Jupiter 125 joins the RTR 310 and RR 310, already on sale in Spain. TVS also sells the Ronin 250 as it builds out its lineup for Spanish buyers.
Lift the seat to find 31 liters of storage space, enough for two jet helmets with room to spare, a rarity at this price. TVS created the space by moving the 5.1-liter fuel tank to the front shield. The filler cap is easy to reach, so refueling is quick. TVS claims the scooter can travel more than 250 kilometers in the city while using 1.6 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers.
The Jupiter 125 keeps its mechanics simple and tough. Its 124.8 cc single-cylinder engine is air-cooled and uses SOHC. It produces 8.15 CV at 6,500 rpm and 10.5 Nm at 4,500 rpm. Those figures are modest, but the engine is tuned for quick starts at traffic lights, a priority in city traffic. Braking comes from a 220 mm front disc and a rear drum, with TVS’s Sync-Brake Technology helping balance the braking. Independent reviews from Autocar India describe the Jupiter 125 as a solid city scooter, not a sporty one.
The equipment list is deliberately short. Riders get full LED lights and a mixed analog-digital dash with Eco/Power mode. A USB port sits in the right glovebox. The look is plain and practical, without extra styling: this scooter is built to work, not show off.
TVS enters Spain as more people look for value in city transport. The brand’s approach resembles that of OMODA & JAECOO, which offers affordable electric SUVs, as reported earlier. For city commuters, the Jupiter 125’s five-year warranty adds to its appeal, as does the choice of white or grey paint. TVS is betting on long-term reliability and low ownership costs.
While many scooters chase flashy looks or high speed, TVS takes a different route. The Jupiter 125 is designed for daily use and straightforward pricing. It may not win style awards, but it could appeal to riders who want a scooter that simply works. Its launch reflects changes in Spain’s scooter market, where new brands are challenging established ideas about the cost and capabilities of city transport.
