Villarreal’s back line kept handing the visitors chances, while some home supporters began leaving before the 20-minute mark. Paris Saint-Germain scored four times in the opening 17 minutes and went on to win 6-0 at Estadio de la Cerámica on 3 November 2026, in the fourth round of the UEFA Champions League league phase.
Villarreal’s unraveling began in the ninth minute with a corner they failed to clear, allowing João Neves to score from close range. Three minutes later, goalkeeper Peter Gulácsi’s misplaced pass handed PSG possession; Maghnes Akliouche set up Désiré Doué to make it 2-0. Senny Mayulu scored in the 13th minute after Villarreal lost the ball while playing out from the back. Fabián Ruiz added a fourth before half-time, capping a burst in which every early goal followed a defensive error or failed clearance.
Villarreal could not stem the scoring. Ruiz made it five shortly after the break with a deft touch that put his marker on the ground before he finished past Gulácsi.
Seventeen-year-old David Boly completed the 6-0 scoreline on his senior and Champions League debut. Introduced in place of Achraf Hakimi, he scored almost immediately, his shot deflecting in off a Villarreal defender. João Neves provided the assist.
The victory left PSG top of the league phase with a perfect 12 points from four matches, three points clear of the teams behind them. Neves and Doué each scored once, as did Mayulu. Ruiz scored twice, and Boly completed the tally. PSG’s win also extended their winning run to 10 matches and matched the longest unbeaten run in the Champions League by a French club, at 14 games.
