Helsinki weather bulletins report south to south-southwest winds of 10-20 mph (about 4.5-9 m/s), supporting the forecast for windier, wetter conditions by the sea.
By Tuesday night, the rain system will have reached much of northern and western Finland. The unsettled pattern is expected to last through the week, with scattered showers moving across the country. Hourly forecasts for Helsinki point to a high chance of rain and daytime temperatures around 11-15°C, following a brief mild spell before conditions worsen.
