Correos Opens Recruitment for Summer Vacancies: How to Join the Team This Summer. From May 14 to June 14, Correos is accepting new applications for temporary summer jobs. Vacancies are available for those who have not previously worked at the company. You can apply online, and priority in hiring will be given to current employees and former staff.
Starting May 14, Correos began accepting applications for temporary summer positions—the company is seeking new employees for delivery, office, and sorting center roles across Spain. Registration is open until June 14, and only those who have never previously worked at Correos and are not part of its staff reserves can join the team.
The summer period is traditionally the busiest for the postal service: many employees go on vacation, while the workload at branches and on routes noticeably increases. To prevent disruptions, Correos temporarily expands its staff and invites new applicants. As noted by the CSIF union, applications can be submitted only through the company’s official portal by completing a special form.
Who can apply
Positions are open to adults with Spanish citizenship or a valid work permit. A high school diploma or its equivalent is required. If you have already worked at Correos or are part of its staff reserve, you do not need to re-register.
Important to note: registration on the portal is valid only for the current campaign. After June 14, the database of new candidates will be closed, and participation in future recruitment rounds will require a new application.
How selection works
The hiring process is organized in stages. First, Correos considers workers already in its staff reserve. If there are no suitable candidates among them, the company invites former employees not currently in the reserve. Only after that are new applications submitted through the portal reviewed.
This means that registration does not guarantee immediate employment, but gives you a chance to be included in the list of candidates for temporary contracts. The greatest demand is expected in delivery, customer service at branches, and sorting — these are the areas that experience the highest workload in the summer.
Temporary solution until reserves are updated
As CSIF emphasizes, opening the portal is a temporary measure and does not replace Correos’ full staffing reserves. This approach was chosen to promptly fill summer vacancies while a new recruitment campaign for permanent reserves has not yet been announced.
According to Talent24h, registering on the portal is the only way to become a candidate for temporary work this summer. For many, this is an opportunity to gain experience at one of Spain's largest state-owned companies and to try themselves in a new field.
