Florentino Pérez Chooses the BMW i7: How the Real Madrid President Gets Around Madrid. Florentino Pérez has resumed his role as president of Real Madrid and continues to drive the executive BMW i7 xDrive 60. Why did he choose this particular electric car, and how does it differ from the vehicles used by the players? Read more in our report.

Florentino Pérez has retained his position as president of Real Madrid after winning the election, defeating his rival Enrique Riquelme. He will remain at the helm of Europe's most decorated football club until 2030—and will continue moving around Madrid in a prestigious BMW i7 xDrive 60. This choice is no coincidence: since 2022, Real Madrid has partnered with BMW, and now not only the players, but also the club's management, have switched to electric vehicles from the German brand.

The BMW i7 xDrive 60 is the brand's flagship electric model, over five meters long, with two electric motors and 544 hp. According to RUSSPAIN, Pérez prefers to ride in the back seat, as do some footballers who do not have a driver’s license. The president's drivers prioritize comfort and safety over speed, although technically this sedan can accelerate to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and reach 240 km/h.

The car stands out not only for its performance, but also for its range: a 101.7 kWh battery allows it to travel up to 625 kilometers without recharging. Inside, there is a maximum level of trim designed for business trips and long journeys across Spain. The price for this version starts at €139,350, making the BMW i7 one of the most expensive company cars among football executives.

Real Madrid's switch to BMW became a notable event in Spanish football: previously, the club had partnered with Audi for nearly two decades. Now, each season, players and management select new models from BMW's catalog — from XM crossovers to electric sedans. Pérez, like many footballers, has prioritized sustainability and technology by opting for a fully electric version.

Interest in football stars’ cars remains consistently high: recently, attention was drawn to a project in which a Mercedes G 63 was turned into a gold SUV with a power output of 720 hp. But while players often choose flashy and fast cars, the president of Real Madrid has opted for comfort, status, and environmental friendliness.

As long as BMW remains the club’s official partner, Florentino Pérez will continue to use this brand. How Real Madrid's fleet will change in the future depends on new contracts and management preferences, but for now, the BMW i7 xDrive 60 has become a symbol of status and modern technology in Spanish football.
