The Guardia Civil’s UCO has arrested six people in a secret Koldo case investigation, including Andrea de la Torre, partner of former minister José Luis Ábalos. Officers searched his Valencia home and requested procurement records from Adif.

Andrea de la Torre was at José Luis Ábalos’s Valencia home when officers detained her on 5 November 2026, according to laSexta. Investigative sources cited by the broadcaster said she was arrested to give a statement; her defence said it expected her to be released. The six detainees were expected to give statements to investigators. The arrests are part of an ongoing inquiry, not a finding of guilt.

The Guardia Civil’s Central Operative Unit (UCO) carried out searches and other investigative actions in four locations: Valencia, Madrid, Córdoba and Seville. The actions included a search at the construction company Azvi. The Valencia property had already been searched on 10 June 2025. Investigators were reportedly seeking crypto-assets and bank deposits, along with evidence in a suspected money-laundering inquiry. RTVE reported that the operation involved six arrests across the four locations.

Judge Ismael Moreno of the Audiencia Nacional authorized the measures in a separate secret strand after receiving a UCO report. The proceedings involve the Fiscalía Anticorrupción. They examine suspected money laundering and an alleged criminal organisation, as well as influence-peddling and alleged manipulation of public-works awards. The inquiry is under judicial secrecy.

Six people were arrested. They include Socialist Party member Cristian Corvillo, whom the case file identifies as an intermediary in securing a chalet in the La Alcaidesa development in Cádiz that Ábalos allegedly used. Corvillo is said to have acted on Víctor de Aldama’s instructions. Reporting has also identified Corvillo as a former local PSOE figure and linked him to property arrangements in Córdoba allegedly connected to Ábalos. His brother Rubén Corvillo, who also gave evidence in the Hydrocarbons case, was arrested too, along with three businesspeople.

The UCO also requested administrative files from rail infrastructure operator Adif, taking some procurement records, according to laSexta. Adif, the public railway infrastructure administrator, said it had supplied the requested information and that no search had taken place at its premises. This strand is separate from an earlier Adif investigation into metadata linked to a leaked audio recording.

The Koldo case includes several investigative strands. The original inquiry concerned alleged irregularities in pandemic mask purchases. Moreno is also examining suspected public-works contract rigging and PSOE cash reimbursements for expenses advanced between 2017 and 2024. That reimbursement strand is also secret. The new operation extends the investigation into possible concealment of funds, including alleged asset movements and property arrangements. The allegations remain subject to judicial examination.
