Zeekr has brought the 9X to Spain—a six-seat plug-in hybrid SUV with yacht-inspired looks and a price tag of 119,450 euros. It packs 897 CV, a cinema setup inside, and sets a new bar for Chinese luxury cars.
Zeekr has just shaken up the Spanish car market. The 9X now holds the title of the most expensive Chinese car ever sold in Spain, starting at 119,450 euros. The launch took place at Marina Port Vell in Barcelona. Zeekr is aiming straight at the luxury segment. According to top Spanish and international auto outlets, the 9X is already on sale in Spain in its Ultra AWD version. Prices can reach 121,500 euros, depending on the setup.
Performance is the main draw. The Super Hybrid system puts out 897 CV and 935 Nm of torque. This six-seater SUV can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. The 900 V dual electric motors push it to a top speed of 240 km/h. On electric power alone, it can go up to 179 kilometers. That’s rare for a car this size. Several independent sources confirm the total hybrid range can hit 737 km. That puts the 9X near the top for long-distance travel in its class.
The Zeekr 9X supports ultra fast DC charging up to 330 kW, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 9.5 minutes.
Step inside and the yacht inspiration is clear. The cabin feels more like a private lounge than a family SUV. The 2-2-2 seat layout gives everyone space. The second row stands out. Each seat reclines to 145 degrees and has electric leg rests. Both front and second row seats come with massage, ventilation, and heating. The third row isn’t left out. It gets power-adjustable, heated seats and backrests that recline up to 135 degrees. Getting to the back is easy thanks to an electric sliding system. Reviews in specialist auto media point out the focus on second-row comfort and the high-end audio as key differences from rivals.
Entertainment is front and center. A 17-inch OLED 3K screen drops from the ceiling and can be moved for the best view. Switch on cinema mode and the privacy curtains close, the panoramic roof shade slides shut, and the lights dim. The Naim sound system packs 32 speakers and 8 haptic transducers. The seats vibrate with the music. There’s even a fridge between the second-row seats. It cools or heats, with a range from −6 to 50 °C.
Comfort goes beyond the seats. The adaptive air suspension uses a dual-chamber setup. CDC electromagnetic dampers keep the ride smooth but controlled. The 9X can switch from electric cruising to off-road mode with one button. It’s a big car—about 5.23 meters long. European auto analysts say this puts it firmly in the large premium SUV camp.
European sources note that Zeekr is positioning the 9X to compete directly with premium brands like BMW, Mercedes, and Audi, and that pricing and specifications may vary by country. In Italy, for example, the starting price exceeds 122,000 euros, with first deliveries expected between late 2026 and early 2027.
The 9X doesn’t just set a new price record for Chinese cars in Spain. It also raises the standard for luxury SUVs. Advanced tech, top materials, and a focus on passenger comfort put it up against the big European names. This follows the pattern seen with other high-performance launches. The recent Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale Perla Nera is another example, where exclusivity and innovation are the main selling points.
Zeekr’s pricing is a bold move. The company is betting on Spain’s growing taste for premium electrified cars. The 9X’s yacht-inspired design, immersive entertainment, and supercar-level speed make it more than just a family SUV. It’s a statement. For buyers who want something different from the usual luxury brands, the 9X shows how Chinese automakers are changing the game in Europe. The Zeekr 9X isn’t just about the price. It signals a shift in what luxury means for Spanish drivers. The old rules no longer apply.
