Adriana Abascal and Prince of Savoy Announce Their Split

The End of the Fairytale: Why the Mexican Diva and the Italian Prince Broke Up

Adriana Abascal has confirmed her breakup with the prince. Their romance lasted less than a year. The couple parted ways amicably, with no hard feelings.

Less than a year after their first public appearance together, Mexican businesswoman Adriana Abascal and Prince Emanuele Filiberto of Savoy have decided to end their romantic relationship. The couple, whose whirlwind romance seemed cloudless, will now go their separate ways. The news became known following a statement Abascal published on her social media.

It was Adriana who took the initiative to announce the breakup. She shared a touching photo of the two of them together, accompanied by a brief text in English. In her message, she sadly acknowledged that their journey together had come to an end, noting that deep affection and admiration remain between them. “The next chapters remain unwritten, carefully held between what was and what may come,” she poetically concluded, without going into the reasons for the split.

The news came as a complete surprise, as just a few weeks ago the couple attended the Consulta dei Senatori del Regno gala at the Palazzo Borghese in Florence together. At this important event for royalty, they appeared in complete harmony and seemed absolutely happy, which only strengthened the public’s belief in the stability of their relationship.

The romance between Abascal and Savoia began in early 2025. They met in France through mutual friends, and according to the prince himself, there was an instant spark. “One evening, I invited her to dinner at Fagnoli’s in Paris, and we immediately hit it off,” he recalled. Their first public appearance as a couple came in January at a flamenco fashion show in Seville. Although they arrived separately—since Adriana was participating in the runway show—after the event she sat next to Emanuele, and during the following cocktail reception, they openly displayed their affection, confirming the circulating rumors.

Despite Adriana living in Paris and the prince in Monte Carlo, distance didn’t seem to be an obstacle for them. “Adriana and I are happy; we see each other often. We spent the summer together,” Emanuele Filiberto shared in an interview. He also noted that his partner got along well with his mother and his daughters from his previous marriage to Clotilde Courau. Their divorce was finalized only in March this year, although they had separated in 2021.

Notably, Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia is the grandson of Italy’s last king, Umberto II, and holds the title Prince of Venice. He is a well-known media personality in Italy, actively participating in television and public life. Additionally, the prince is involved in business and even founded his own monarchist movement, “Realtà Italia.” His marriage to French actress Clotilde Courau— with whom he has two daughters— was long a focus of attention for the European press.
