In 2025, Ford launched a new initiative in Spain called Power Promise, aimed at electric vehicle owners. The program combines extended warranties, free maintenance, and comprehensive charging solutions to make the switch to electric vehicles as convenient as possible for customers.
Ford’s lineup of electric vehicles in Europe continues to grow. The range already includes models like Puma Gen-E, Explorer, Capri, Mustang Mach-E, as well as commercial and family versions such as E-Tourneo Courier, E-Transit Courier, E-Tourneo Custom, E-Transit Custom, and E-Transit. These vehicles are produced at modern facilities, including the Electric Vehicle Center in Colonia and the Ford Otosan plant in Craiova, Romania.
Power Promise is designed to address concerns associated with owning an electric vehicle. According to Ford, many drivers still choose combustion engine cars due to worries about driving range, battery reliability, and charging infrastructure availability. The new program aims to resolve these issues through clear and transparent solutions.
As part of Power Promise, Ford offers three key areas of support. The first is organizing charging at home and for businesses. Thanks to a partnership with Emovili, installing a home charging station takes no more than 12 days. Corporate clients are offered consultations, assistance with obtaining government subsidies, and customized power calculations.
The second pillar is access to an extensive network of public charging stations. Ford electric vehicle owners can use more than 830,000 charging points across Europe, including 22,000 in Spain. In addition, several months of free premium charging on Ionity and Zunder fast chargers are included, helping drivers save on their journeys and avoid worrying about finding a suitable station.
The third element of the program is enhanced warranties and service. Battery coverage lasts up to 8 years or 160,000 kilometers. In addition, five years of free maintenance, 24/7 roadside assistance, and the Ford Active Call service are provided. The Ford Active Call feature allows for early detection of potential issues through remote monitoring.
Ford notes that most current EV owners are happy with home charging capabilities, and many have no plans to return to traditional vehicles. The Power Promise is aimed at those who are still unsure, offering comprehensive support for a smooth transition to electric mobility.
With the launch of this program, Ford aims to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in Spain and build greater public trust in new technologies.
