In 2026, Madrid is set to host the tenth edition of the Noches del Botánico concert series. This summer festival, now a staple in the capital, will once again take place at the Real Jardín Botánico Alfonso XIII on the campus of the Complutense University. Organizers promise a packed lineup that brings together different generations and musical genres, and the intimate garden setting offers guests a fresh perspective on their favorite artists.
Last year, the event drew more than 185,000 attendees, and over its nine-year history, the festival has welcomed more than a million visitors. Around 500 artists have performed on its stage, including Bob Dylan, Patti Smith, Norah Jones, Robert Plant, Andrés Calamaro, Pablo Alborán, Amaia, and Iván Ferreiro. The festival has received numerous prestigious awards, including Best Event of the Year from the Spanish Music Academy and the Iberian Festival Awards.
June: Kicking off with national stars
The anniversary season opens on June 5 with Rigoberta Bandini, one of the brightest stars of Spain’s contemporary music scene, taking the stage. Throughout the month, she’ll be joined by Two Door Cinema Club, Ethel Cain, Lia Kali, Ginebras, Love of Lesbian, and Zaz—who will close out the June program on the 22nd. The organizers are putting special emphasis on supporting national talent, featuring several Spanish bands and performers in the lineup—especially to the delight of fans of local music.
Every evening promises to be unique: from indie rock to pop experiments, from lyrical ballads to dance rhythms. For many festivalgoers, it’s not just a chance to see their favorite artists, but also to discover new talents just starting to make their mark on the scene.
July: Global Legends and Unexpected Discoveries
The musical marathon continues in July with just as much excitement. On July 6, Danny Elfman will take the stage, followed by Silvana Estrada, Mari Froes, Jean-Michel Jarre, Alabama Shakes, Belle & Sebastian, Rick Astley, ZZ Top, and Biffy Clyro. The festival will wrap up on July 27 with a performance by Diana Krall—her jazz evening promises to be a fitting finale to a vibrant season.
This year, organizers have focused on variety: the lineup features everything from 80s nostalgia to cutting-edge electronic experiments and classic rock. ZZ Top fans can enjoy their signature American sound, while Jean-Michel Jarre will wow the audience with his electronic show. There will also be surprises—part of the program remains under wraps, with new names to be announced closer to summer.
Tickets and New Opportunities
Ticket sales for the first concerts open on December 16 at noon. Tickets can be purchased online and at El Corte Inglés box offices, with in-person sales starting a day later. Organizers are promising not only an updated program, but also upgrades to the festival grounds: new relaxation zones, additional services, and even more comfort for guests of all ages.
Over the years, Noches del Botánico has become more than just a concert series—it is now a major cultural event for Madrid. Fans of all genres gather here, and the summer garden atmosphere creates a sense of intimacy and closeness to the artists. In 2026, the festival celebrates its first major anniversary and, by all accounts, is poised to keep surprising audiences again and again.
