
The morning in Isla Mayor (Seville) began with a tense situation: an armed man barricaded himself inside a warehouse on the outskirts of the city. During an attempt to apprehend him, a national police officer was shot and rushed to the hospital. His condition is extremely critical and doctors are fighting to save his life.
The incident occurred around 7 a.m., when police arrived at the warehouse, which was reportedly being used to store illegal substances. At that moment, a gunshot rang out from inside the building, and one of the officers was seriously wounded. Emergency responders and special units quickly arrived at the scene.
The injured officer was urgently evacuated to Virgen del Rocío hospital, where he immediately underwent surgery. Doctors are doing everything possible to stabilize his condition. Meanwhile, a large-scale operation is underway around the warehouse: the area has been cordoned off by the national police, joined by the civil guard and local police. Air patrols are also monitoring the situation.
