Ahead of the New Year holidays, activity among participants in the Volveremos program has noticeably increased in Zaragoza and 61 other towns across Aragón. This year, residents can use their accrued bonuses not only in the regional capital but also in other cities, which is especially relevant during the peak shopping and gift-giving season.
Currently, users have about €2.1 million left in their accounts — one million from municipal funds and another 1.1 million from regional funds. These amounts can be spent in stores participating in the program, but only until December 31. After this date, any unused bonuses will be canceled and cannot be reclaimed.
Program advantages
Volveremos allows you to pay for up to half the purchase with bonuses earned from previous spending. Both municipal and regional funds, as well as bonuses from the private ACOMZA initiative, are included in the campaign. This gives residents flexibility in choosing shops and products, especially at a time when demand for gifts and holiday items is traditionally high.
Since the start of the 2025 campaign, more than 107,000 people have taken advantage of the program, making purchases at 2,220 retail locations in Zaragoza. This level of participation highlights the initiative’s popularity among city residents and across the region.
Where you can spend your bonuses
An important feature is that regional bonuses can be used in any of the 67 municipalities connected to Volveremos. The only exception is service sector businesses, where bonuses are not accepted. This is especially convenient during the holiday season and family visits when many people travel between cities within Aragón.
Municipal bonuses are only valid within the city where they were earned. Therefore, Zaragoza residents are advised to make their purchases soon to avoid losing their accumulated funds. The city administration reminds everyone: all unused bonuses will disappear from digital wallets at midnight on January 1.
Record Numbers
This year, the Volveremos program has already set new records for purchase volume and number of participants. Stores report increased sales and residents appreciate being able to save on holiday expenses. Activity is expected to rise even further in the final days of December, as many will want to spend their remaining bonuses before they expire.
Organizers emphasize that the program can only be used in stores officially participating in Volveremos. A list of these retailers is available in the mobile app, which also shows each user’s current bonus balance.
Final Days of the Campaign
There are only a few days left until the end of the promotion. Those who haven’t spent their bonuses yet should hurry: all unused funds will be automatically deducted after December 31. The Volveremos program continues to support local businesses and encourage shopping in the region, especially during the New Year holidays.
