With the arrival of summer in Spain, choosing a hotel with a good pool becomes a key factor for a comfortable vacation. A refreshing oasis with a convenient sun lounger not only helps escape the high temperatures but also provides true relaxation. In 2025, the country’s hotel sector offers a variety of unique places where aquatic zones have become real points of attraction.
On Mallorca, one of the most iconic spots is the Cap Rocat hotel, recognized with two Michelin Keys. Located in a former military fortress seamlessly integrated into the surrounding natural landscape, this place offers seclusion and tranquility just ten minutes from the island’s capital. Most of the 30 rooms are private suites designed for maximum privacy. Guests can enjoy private pools attached to the rooms, as well as a communal pool with panoramic sea views—ideal for watching the sunset.
On the neighboring island of Formentera, two remarkable hotels stand out. Dunas de Formentera, which opened in June 2024, is the island’s first luxury eco-resort. As part of the exclusive Small Luxury Hotel group, it offers guests a secluded retreat on Migjorn Beach. Nestled among the dunes, the hotel has 45 rooms, some of which are up to 60 square meters. Its panoramic infinity pool invites guests to relax while gazing at the sea horizon. Also on Migjorn Beach is Gecko Formentera—a hotel with 30 rooms in Mediterranean style. Its beach club, Gecko Beach Club, is known for DJ-led live music evenings and signature cocktails.
On Menorca, you’ll find the agrotourism complex Torralbenc, recently awarded the Michelin Key. This traditional estate has been transformed into a luxury hotel with its own winery. Spanning 74 hectares, the property features 19th- and early 20th-century buildings, restored using authentic materials. In addition to wines under the Torralbenc label, a unique grape beer is produced here. At the heart of the complex is an impressive swimming pool surrounded by gardens that complement the island’s traditional architecture.
Andalusia also offers some noteworthy options. In the heart of Malaga, the Palacio Solecio hotel invites guests to escape the hustle and bustle on its rooftop terrace. Since March 15, an Andalusian-themed corner with a pool has been open here for up to 60 guests, where one can enjoy a cocktail under the summer sun. Between Malaga and Marbella, in the foothills of Andalusia, lies the fully renovated five-star resort La Zambra. It features three outdoor pools—two of them adults-only—four restaurants, a children’s club, and even a private nightclub.
