Velca, a company specializing in the production of electric motorcycles and scooters, has carried out a major update of its product lineup. By implementing new manufacturing solutions and renegotiating supplier contracts, the company has managed to make its vehicles more affordable for customers.
In the electric scooter segment, the entry-level option is now the Bora+ model, designed for a range of up to 75 kilometers on a single charge. With the addition of a second battery, the range increases to 150 kilometers. The price of this version is €1,990, breaking the psychological barrier of €2,000 for this type of vehicle. Another model, the Calima 50, is equipped with a 3 kW motor and can travel up to 150 kilometers without recharging. Its price is set at €2,790. Both scooters are intended for urban use, as the average daily mileage for Spanish users, according to industry association Anesdor, does not exceed 30 kilometers.
The range of electric motorcycles has also been revised. The Tramontana S model, priced at €3,790, stands out with a range of 90 kilometers and a top speed of 90 km/h, thanks to a 5 kWh motor. The Calima S, priced at €3,690, has received a series of technical upgrades and has become the most affordable scooter equipped with ABS on both wheels, enhancing safety and comfort for the rider.
At the top of the lineup is the Velca ONE, designed for a range of up to 220 kilometers and capable of reaching speeds of 125 km/h. For €6,490, buyers receive an extended package that includes delivery, paperwork, an SHAD SH33 top case, insurance worth €100, and the first maintenance service free of charge. The Vortex model, whose price remains unchanged at €7,290, stands out as the only custom-style electric motorcycle aimed at those seeking not only city transportation but also the ability to take longer trips.
The price reduction became possible thanks to three key factors: technological innovations that reduced the cost of batteries and components; optimization of manufacturing processes, which allowed for increased production volumes; and effective internal management within the company, which eliminated unnecessary expenses and passed the savings on to the end consumer.
