C. Tangana's new rap track looks back on his career and personal life, including the birth of his child and the death of collaborator Milkman. Its lyrics also point towards more music.

A baby and Rocío Aguirre appear alongside C. Tangana in the video for Milko Freestyle, a personal track that draws on the rapper's recent life. Released on 3 November 2026, it is his first personally released solo song in about three years. The song addresses his new role as a father and the death of his friend and collaborator Óscar Botello, known professionally as Milkman, a Mexican rapper and producer who also worked as a visual artist. He died in February 2026.

Musically, the release returns to the more direct rap style associated with C. Tangana's beginnings. The approximately two-minute track, produced by KevD and Jambo, revisits tensions around his place in Spanish rap and the success of El Madrileño. The video and vocals do not feature the other members of Agorazein, despite the track being presented on the artist's channel as a release with the group. The lyrics refer to AGZ, the Madrid collective with which he began his career in the early 2000s. The release coincides with Agorazein's announced reunion after roughly a decade apart.

A personal account

The track describes the birth of his child with photographer Rocío Aguirre as a major change in his life. It also addresses Milkman's death. The song recalls that the two friends had not spoken for several months before Botello was hospitalized, and Tangana's lyrics recount traveling to Mexico while his friend was seriously ill.

For several years, C. Tangana's work has also included projects outside solo music. His production company Little Spain signed La guitarra flamenca de Yerai Cortés, the documentary that won a Goya in that category. Other releases included Estrecho/Alvarado with PabloPablo in 2023 and the Celta de Vigo anthem Oliveira Dos Cen Anos. In 2025, he collaborated with Mora on Droga.

Those projects had not been treated as a solo return to music. Milko Freestyle instead signals a possible new phase: its lyrics refer to writing another record, while casting aside the El madrileño identity. C. Tangana's earlier turn towards rumba and bolero, alongside other Spanish and Latin American traditions, came with the 2021 album El Madrileño. Its single Tú me dejaste de querer reached 1.6 million listens in one day, a Spanish record at the time, according to reporting on the release.

Agorazein's reunion brings C. Tangana together with Sticky M.A. and Jerv.AGZ. Fabianni and I-Ace are also part of the lineup for four scheduled performances at Madrid's Movistar Arena on 15, 16, 17 and 18 November 2026. The dates are linked to the tenth anniversary of the collective's album Siempre. The lyrics of Milko Freestyle also look back at the criticism surrounding Tangana's musical shift after El Madrileño, while pointing towards another record.
