A fire at the Cedrún bar in Cedrillas, a small town about 30 kilometers from Teruel, killed a 32-year-old woman and her 9-year-old daughter. Authorities are still establishing what happened. Early reports say the victims belonged to a Colombian family managing the bar, but it remains unclear whether they were inside the bar or in the residence directly above it when the fire broke out.
Local residents responded quickly, rescuing another man from the premises and trying to contain the flames before firefighters arrived. Despite their efforts, two people died, leaving the community in shock. Officials have not disclosed the blaze’s precise origin or cause and continue to investigate the sequence of events.
The Cedrillas incident is the latest in a series of fatal fires affecting Spanish towns in recent years.
