The Spanish royal family and aristocratic circles are celebrating joyful news: Victoria López-Quesada and her husband Enrique Moreno de la Cova are expecting their first child. This event is a wonderful continuation of their love story, coming just a year after their lavish wedding, where King Felipe VI himself was an honored guest. News of the king’s beloved goddaughter’s pregnancy has leaked to the press, and now everyone is eagerly awaiting March, when the baby is due. The couple is keeping the future heir’s gender under wraps for now.
According to sources close to the family, Victoria is handling her pregnancy well and is in excellent spirits. For her parents, Pedro López-Quesada and Cristina de Borbón-Dos Sicilias, the expected child will be their first and long-awaited grandchild. However, for her husband’s parents, renowned cattle breeder Enrique Moreno de la Cova and artist Cristina Ibarra, this won’t be their first experience as grandparents—their daughter Cristina is already a mother of a large family.
Contrary to expectations, marriage did not stop Victoria Lopez-Quesada from pursuing her professional ambitions. She continues to confidently build her career. Her LinkedIn profile states that she is a goal-oriented professional, passionate about socially significant projects and capable of working efficiently in a dynamic environment. As a public relations expert, she has worked at the International Olympic Committee. Her connection to sports is deep: for over ten years she did equestrian sports and even became the basketball champion of Spain. Her resume also includes working as a VIP manager at Oxer Sport, a company specializing in equestrian events, and founding Anansi Africa, a social enterprise that supports women in Ghana through the sale of traditional handicrafts made by local artisans.
For the past year and a half, Victoria has dedicated herself to working as a project manager at ProFuturo. This is a large-scale digital education program aimed at improving the quality of education for children from vulnerable groups in countries such as Benin and Senegal. Despite a busy schedule, she occasionally attends social events. One such outing was the presentation of a new collection by Rocío Peralta, held at the Artillery Factory in Seville.
It is worth recalling that Victoria and Enrique’s wedding took place last year at the Soto de Mozanaque estate. The bride entrusted the creation of her wedding dress to designer Lorenzo Caprile, following in her mother’s footsteps. The ceremony brought together the crème de la crème of Spanish aristocracy and members of the royal family, including her godfather, Infanta Elena and Cristina, as well as Queen Sofia. Among the guests spotted were her close friend Teresa Urquijo, Irene Urdangarin, and Victoria Federica, her cousin. The only one to miss the celebration was Queen Letizia, who at that time was in Paris supporting Spanish athletes at the Paralympic Games.
