The media group Atresmedia continues to expand its lineup of entertainment programs, placing a bet on a new and intriguing project. In collaboration with ITV Studios Iberia, the company behind hits like “Pasapalabra” and “La Voz,” they are preparing to launch a game show that promises to blur the line between the screen and the audience. It remains a mystery for now which of the group’s channels, Antena 3 or La Sexta, will have the rights to the premiere.
The concept is based on the idea of a popular detective board game brought to life with top-tier celebrities. Each episode begins with an exclusive party attended by seven famous guests. But the celebration is abruptly interrupted when one of the attendees becomes the victim of a (staged) murder. The culprit—a mysterious, masked VIP. From that moment, the social event turns into a tense investigation filled with suspense and unexpected twists.
The surviving celebrities will take on the role of detectives to uncover who is hiding behind the mask. The first and most important clue is revealed almost immediately: the killer is not one of the invited guests. To uncover the truth, participants must carefully investigate the crime scene and compete in a series of challenges—team-based, individual, and group. Successfully completing the tasks earns new clues that help narrow down the list of suspects. Each episode builds to a final reveal, unmasking the mysterious villain. Only one person will win—the one who correctly identifies the killer.
A distinctive feature of the project is its structure: each episode is a self-contained story. This means viewers can expect a constant rotation of characters, locations, plots, and, of course, crimes. This approach is designed to create a highly engaging atmosphere, allowing everyone to feel like a true detective and try to solve the mystery alongside the on-screen heroes. The creators face a challenging task—developing clever clues and seamlessly integrating them into the setting.
The name of the host, who will guide the celebrity detectives, is currently being kept secret. The concept of the show, created by ITV Studios and Talpa Studios, originated in the Netherlands under the name “Moordfeest.” It has already enjoyed success in France on the M6 channel, where one of the episodes was set in the renowned National Museum of Natural History in Paris. The idea has generated considerable interest in other European countries as well, so announcements of new international versions of this captivating show are expected soon.
