After spending over forty years performing on stages around the world, one of the brightest stars of Spanish music has made her choice. Her heart and home belong to Boimorto, a tiny municipality in the province of La Coruña, where she was once born. While many of her colleagues opt for avant-garde mansions in prestigious neighborhoods, she chose to stay true to her roots, creating a unique space where music is born and the soul finds rest.
Her dwelling is more than just a building—it’s a true haven of tranquility. The old house, which preserves traditional Galician architecture, is built from stone and wood. Through large windows that open onto picturesque scenery, warm light pours in, filling the space with coziness. Inside, there is no place for ostentatious luxury or designer flourishes often seen in glossy magazines. Instead, you’ll find restored antique furniture, natural materials, and many personal belongings, each with its own story. The living room, which she occasionally shows on social media, is the heart of the home: featuring a large fireplace, shelves of books, a collection of vinyl records, and souvenirs from countless journeys. It is a vibrant, lived-in space where everything speaks of its owner.
But the real magic begins outside the house. The singer adores her garden and small vegetable patch, where she can completely disconnect from the hustle and bustle of show business. Tending to plants is her best form of meditation. Her property is also home to animals, including donkeys and chickens, highlighting once again her deep attachment to nature and rural life. This is her private world, where she finds inspiration and the strength for new creative endeavors.
This connection to her homeland is also reflected in another one of her projects. Right at the gates of her home, Luz founded the ‘Festival de la Luz’. The annual summer event, imbued with a spirit of solidarity, brings thousands of people to Boimorto. The atmosphere is truly unique: family-oriented, relaxed, and free of any pretense. Its stages feature established stars alongside emerging talents, and part of the proceeds always goes to support social and environmental initiatives. Through this, the singer shares a piece of her world with others, giving back to her small homeland.
Her home in Galicia is more than just a property. It reflects her personality, her values, and her idea of true wealth. Wealth that is measured not in square meters or expensive belongings, but in harmony with oneself and the surrounding world.
