In October 2025, Zaragoza will once again become the center of attention for bullfighting enthusiasts. From October 4 to 13, the La Misericordia arena (Plaza de Toros de la Misericordia) will host a series of spectacular bullfights as part of the Fiestas del Pilar. This year, organizers have planned ten action-packed days featuring not only traditional corridas but also novilladas and equestrian performances.
However, there have been some changes to the lineup. In recent days, several well-known toreros have had to withdraw due to health reasons. As a result, Andrés Roca Rey and newcomer Julio Norte are no longer listed in the program. The participation of José María Manzanares, Antonio Ferrera, and Rafaéllillo remains in question—their current health prevents organizers from confirming their presence. In addition, Joselito de Córdoba has dropped out. Organizers have already made adjustments to replace those unable to perform, but the final lineup is still subject to change.
Particular attention is focused on several key events. Among them is the debut of young Zaragoza torero Cristiano Torres, who will enter the arena for the first time as a matador. No less interest surrounds the duel between Sebastián Castella and Aarón Palacio, which is expected to be one of the most talked-about moments of the festival.
The daily program has already been announced. All performances begin at 5:30 pm. On October 4, there will be a novillada featuring El Mene, Tomás Bastos, and Pedro Luis. On October 5, a competitive corrida with bulls from six different ranches will take place, starring Rafaelillo, Antonio Ferrera, and Javier Castaño. On October 6, young toreros David Cejas, Miguel Remiro, and Ángel Alarcón will take the stage. On October 7, another novillada with Pedro Andrés, Tomás González, and Mario Vilau. On October 8, La Palmosilla bulls for Fernando Adrián, Borja Jiménez, and Tomás Rufo. On October 9, a duel between Castella and Palacio. On October 10, Núñez del Cuvillo bulls for Morante de la Puebla, Manzanares, and Cristiano Torres. On October 11, Juan Pedro Domecq bulls for Alejandro Talavante, Daniel Luque, and Tristán Barroso. On October 12, Pincha bulls for Alberto Álvarez, Román, and José Fernando Molina. Finally, on October 13, performances by rejoneadores Sergio Galán, Diego Ventura, and Lea Vicens.

Organizers warn: fraudulent posters with QR codes promising free tickets via fake raffles have appeared in the city. Entering personal information on third-party sites is risky—only the official portals guarantee ticket authenticity. If in doubt, it is recommended to contact the arena administration.
