The life of popular Catalan TV presenter Susanna Griso is once again in the public spotlight. Very soon, next summer, she will tie the knot with businessman Luis Enríquez. Their long-standing friendship turned into a romantic relationship, and now the couple is preparing for a new chapter together. The marriage proposal was quite original, as the journalist shared on her program. One morning, as she was about to have her coffee, Luis handed her a cup with a ring at the bottom. This touching moment marked the beginning of their wedding preparations.
The celebration is scheduled for July 25 and will take place on the Costa Brava coast, where the couple recently purchased a home together. They have planned an informal ceremony surrounded by their closest friends and family. For Susanna, this will be her second marriage—she previously spent more than twenty years with Carles Torras. Her fiancé is also entering a new union and has four children from his previous relationship.
Susanna grew up in a large and affluent Barcelona family as the youngest of seven children. Her father, Paco Griso, was a textile industrialist, while her mother, Montserrat Raventós, came from the family that owned the renowned Codorníu wineries. The presenter fondly recalls her childhood, closely connected to the family estate and vineyards, although she emphasizes that she does not own shares in the company. Her mother held a special place in her life—a woman ahead of her time. She not only raised seven children but also led an international NGO, traveled extensively, and spoke several languages fluently, inspiring her daughter by example.
Over the years, Susanna built her own large family. Married to Carles Torras, she had two children—a son, Jan, and a daughter, Mireia, now 21 and 19 years old, respectively. Later, the couple decided to adopt a girl from Côte d’Ivoire, Dorset, who is now 12. Additionally, the TV host became a foster mother to a young man from Ghana named Kudus, offering him family and support.
However, her life has not always been smooth. In recent years, she faced several difficult losses. Shortly after her mother passed away, she received news during a live broadcast that her sister had died suddenly of a heart attack. A few years later, in 2021, she spoke publicly for the first time about another family tragedy. While accepting an award, she dedicated it to her brother Damián, who died of HIV at a time when effective treatment did not yet exist. Despite all these challenges, today 56-year-old Susanna Griso is at the height of her career and personal happiness, looking to the future with hope alongside her beloved.
