Humanes de Madrid transforms into a medieval town
For three days, Humanes de Madrid becomes a true backdrop for time travel. From November 21 to 23, the central square and surrounding streets are filled with the spirit of the Middle Ages: craft stalls, street performers, musicians, and comedians appear. The city comes alive under banners and flags, with colorful parades winding through the streets. The festive atmosphere captivates both adults and children—everyone will find something to enjoy.
The organizers have paid special attention to detail: visitors are greeted by characters in historical costumes, live music fills the air, and the aroma of fresh pastries and roasted meat lingers everywhere. This year’s market promises to surprise even regular guests—with a program packed with new events and unique displays.
A variety of entertainment and gastronomy
More than fifty stalls offer handmade goods, jewelry, souvenirs, and traditional products. The stage hosts theatrical performances, and in the evening guests can enjoy the spectacular fire show “Cielo y tierra,” scheduled for Saturday at 21:00. Foodies can visit a dedicated area with dishes prepared using centuries-old recipes: here you can sample homemade bread, cheeses, meat delicacies, and much more.
A special attraction is the historical camp, where visitors can experience daily life and traditional crafts from centuries past. For those seeking something unique, two exhibitions are available: one dedicated to medieval torture devices, and another to antique agricultural tools. These displays consistently capture the interest of visitors of all ages.
Family area and children’s activities
A separate area has been set up for families with children, featuring a medieval-style carousel, trampolines, workshops, and educational games. The entrance is adorned with a decorative castle, creating a fairytale atmosphere. Here, kids can have fun and also discover fascinating facts about life in past centuries.
Every corner of the market is thoughtfully designed, from the decorations to the interactive entertainment. Humanes de Madrid is strengthening its reputation as one of the region’s top destinations for historical reenactments. Admission to the event is free, making it accessible to everyone.
