On Friday morning in the Churriana district of Málaga, local police intervened in a large party held at a rented house. More than a hundred people were inside, gathered without any permits. The event organizer now faces charges for conducting entertainment activities without the required documentation and for attempting to obstruct inspectors’ work.
Police became aware of the event in advance thanks to activity on social media. Throughout the night, attendees exchanged messages to clarify the exact meeting point. Admission to the party cost 25 euros, and by the time officers arrived at the house on Carretera de Coín, there were already more than a hundred guests inside.
Local residents did not stand by: police received several complaints about loud music and improperly parked cars. During the inspection, owners of ten vehicles were fined, four of which had to be towed. Additionally, several guests were cited for urinating on the street.
Restrictions and measures
Police not only shut down the party but also blocked entry to new visitors. Everyone leaving the house was identified. Authorities also recorded an attempt to hold another private event at a different house on Canal street, also in Churriana. The organizer of this party also faces administrative sanctions for lacking a permit, although after being warned, he agreed to end the event.
Authorities in Málaga have reminded residents to check the legality of events in advance, especially during the New Year and Christmas holidays. Organizers are advised to provide all necessary information regarding permits and the terms for holding events.
Public reaction
The incident sparked widespread public concern among Churriana residents. Many voiced worries about safety and order in the area, especially during the holiday season when the number of such events increases. Police emphasized that they will continue to monitor compliance with regulations and promptly respond to any violations.
Authorities remind everyone that participating in unauthorized parties can lead to fines not only for organizers but also for guests. Special attention is being paid to noise, parking, and maintaining public order. In the run-up to the holidays, enforcement around such events will be further intensified.
