A tragedy has shaken the residents of L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, a suburb of Barcelona. A 54-year-old man has been taken into custody without bail on suspicion of killing his own mother by throwing her out of a window. The decision to detain him was made by a judge after reviewing the circumstances of the incident and the case materials.
The incident occurred during the night of June 19 to 20. At that time, emergency services received an alarming call: a woman with clear signs of violence had been found in the street. Police and medical teams quickly arrived at the scene. The victim was rushed to the hospital, but despite their efforts, she succumbed to her injuries.
At the scene was a man who turned out to be the victim’s son. He was detained by city police and later handed over to regional law enforcement. The same day, he was formally arrested on suspicion of involvement in his mother’s death.
Investigators are treating the case as a possible act of domestic violence, which has added a new level of urgency to the investigation. Judicial authorities decided to extend the suspect’s detention for 24 hours to carry out additional investigative measures. Afterward, the judge ordered that the man be placed in pretrial detention without the possibility of bail.
The investigation is currently ongoing. Investigators are working to establish all the details of the incident to reconstruct an accurate picture of what happened that night. Additional forensic examinations and witness interviews are expected to take place in the near future. The accused faces serious punishment if found guilty in court.
