The national lottery La Primitiva continues to give hope to thousands across Spain, as week after week people try their luck in this classic draw. For some, it’s a chance to fulfill a lifelong dream; for others, an opportunity to boost the family budget; and some simply enjoy the thrill of the game. Every Monday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, there are those imagining how six lucky numbers could change their lives.
This past Monday, the draw brought significant winnings to two participants, each adding €63,244.63 to their bank accounts. The winning tickets were registered at lottery offices in Zaragoza, at Avenida Cataluña, 126, and in the small municipality of Carabaña near Madrid, home to just over 2,000 residents, at Plaza de España, 28. This once again proves that good fortune can strike anywhere in the country at any moment.
Following the draw held on November 3, the winning combination was: main numbers 41, 37, 40, 19, 14, and 29. The Complementario number was 48, while the Reintegro (refund) number was 09. The lucky combination in the additional Joker game was 3179563.
La Primitiva is rightfully considered one of the oldest lotteries in the world, originating in Spain as far back as the 18th century. The first draw took place on December 10, 1763, during the reign of Carlos III. The initiative belonged to the then Minister of Finance, Marqués de Esquilache, who sought to replenish the state treasury without raising taxes. Throughout its long history, the lottery has undergone changes and periods of suspension, but in its modern form, it was revived in 1985 and has since remained one of the main events in the world of Spanish lotteries.
To participate in the draw, you need to pick six unique numbers ranging from 1 to 49. The system also automatically assigns each ticket an additional number and a Reintegro number from 0 to 9. To win the main jackpot, you must match not only all six main numbers but also the Reintegro number. There are six regular prize categories and one special category in total. Additionally, for an extra euro, you can try your luck in the associated game El Joker, where a randomly generated seven-digit number can award its owner a prize of one million euros.
