German company Limehome, specializing in designer apartments, has officially announced its entry into Benidorm’s hotel market. Their debut project is a modern 54-room complex located in the heart of the city, on the bustling calle Major. This move marks a significant milestone in the company’s expansion strategy along the Spanish coast, a perennial favorite among tourists from around the world. The opening of this new property not only strengthens the brand’s presence in Spain but also offers guests in Benidorm a new type of accommodation, combining apartment comfort with top-tier hotel services.
About one and a half million euros was invested in transforming the building. This considerable amount was used for a complete reconstruction and modernization of the property to meet Limehome’s high standards of quality and modern design. One of the standout features of the new aparthotel is the shared rooftop space, offering stunning views of the beach and a panoramic swimming pool for guests. Additionally, the terrace includes service points where guests can order food and drinks, making poolside relaxation even more enjoyable.
Modernization ahead of schedule
Company representatives emphasized that Limehome took full control over the building’s transformation process. This not only ensured that the final result met the company’s quality standards, but also allowed for strict adherence to all deadlines. Moreover, thanks to effective project management, the new property opened two months ahead of schedule. This approach demonstrates the company’s serious intentions and commitment to quality at every stage of the project.
Ricardo Fernández, regional manager for Limehome in Spain, Portugal, and France, expressed optimism about the new project. “This is our first opening in Benidorm, and we hope it won’t be the last. There is definitely room in the city to accommodate more of our apartments,” he said. His comments underline the company’s ambitious plans for further expansion in the Spanish market. To date, Limehome already operates or has agreements to open properties in more than 30 cities and resorts across Spain.
What is Limehome?
By the way, Limehome is not just another hotel chain. Founded in Munich in 2018, the company positions itself as a real estate technology startup (PropTech). Its business model is based on a fully digital guest experience. Limehome has no traditional reception desks or concierges. All processes—from booking and payment to accessing your room—are done online via smartphone. Guests receive a digital key and can check in at any convenient time without face-to-face contact with staff. The main focus is on interior design, high-quality finishes, and furniture, creating a true “home away from home” experience. Today, the company is rapidly expanding, managing thousands of apartments in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Spain, and other European countries, offering a modern alternative to traditional hotels.
