Isabel Díaz Ayuso ended her Valencia visit at Casa Roberto after a PP pre-election rally. She ate the traditional chicken and rabbit paella with Generalitat president Juanfran Pérez Llorca; Valencia mayor María José Catalá joined them.

Casa Roberto is a short distance from Mercado de Colón, where Isabel Díaz Ayuso addressed a PP pre-election rally during her Valencia visit on Saturday, 7 November 2026. The general election was scheduled for 29 November. Locals know the restaurant as «la boutique del arroz».

After the rally, Ayuso ate the traditional paella made with chicken and rabbit, El Debate reported. She shared the meal with Juanfran Pérez Llorca, president of the Generalitat Valenciana and the regional PP. Valencia mayor María José Catalá, the party’s lead candidate for the Valencia constituency, joined them. The three had addressed PP members and supporters at Mercado de Colón after 12:30 p.m.

The restaurant on Calle Maestro Gozalbo has been run by the Aparicio family for around half a century. Roberto Aparicio and his wife Mari Carmen founded it, and their children Roberto and María del Mar later joined them. Its slogan declares: «no hay amor más sincero que nuestro amor por la paella valenciana».

Earlier in the day, Ayuso, Pérez Llorca, Catalá and Vicente Mompó, president of the Provincial Council of Valencia and provincial PP president, made an unannounced visit to Mercado del Cabanyal. The stop came during the campaign period, a day after Pedro Sánchez held a rally at a nearby sports centre. Levante-EMV reported that the visit drew expressions of support as well as calls of «fuera, fuera» from people inside the market.

At the Mercado de Colón rally, Ayuso called for Spain to be “restarted” and said “del socialismo se sale”. She also accused Sánchez of fearing a change from La Moncloa to Soto del Real, Europa Press reported. Pérez Llorca opened the meeting by thanking Madrid for its assistance after the November 2024 flooding disaster in Valencia, according to El Español.
