Seven venues will each offer two tapas priced at €3 for Peñaflor’s 11th route. The programme also revives Tapaportes and adds an online public vote. The supplied announcement gives 13-15 November as the dates but does not specify a year.

Mayor José Ruiz Herman presented the programme at the Casa de la Provincia of the Diputación de Sevilla in Seville, joined by councillor Ángel Sánchez Alcobendas and Aitor Corrales of Asador El Corral, representing the participating hospitality businesses. The Ayuntamiento de Peñaflor organizes the municipal event, sponsored by the Diputación de Sevilla through Prodetur. Europa Press reported on the presentation and described the event as the 11th edition of the route.

The route features seven venues: Asador El Corral, Bar Central, Bar El Llano, Centro Cultural, El Cortijito, El Rincón de Murillo and El Trastero. Each offers two specialities, making 14 advertised tapas in total. Every tapa is priced at €3, and the event is scheduled for 13-15 November.

Among the dishes are Bar Central’s Tosta Mediterránea and Taco Andaluz, alongside Ensaladilla campera con montera de salchichón and Primito ibérico con salsa de la abuela at Bar El Llano. El Cortijito offers Pecado ibérico and Secreto del cazador. At Asador El Corral, the options are Cannoli de pollo asado con su jugo trufado y coliflor and Albóndigas de merluza y curry verde.

El Rincón de Murillo’s choices are Lomo ibérico al ajillo con setas variadas and Canallita. El Trastero serves Tosta de solomillo con queso crema y pimientos caramelizados and Salmorejo de remolacha con queso rallado. The Centro Cultural Ntra. Sra. de Villadiego offers Merluza en tempura con mayonesa de cítricos y encurtidos and Puerro a la brasa con panceta curada, mayonesa de puerro y salsa romesco.

Tapaportes are returning after being absent from the previous edition. Participants who complete one can leave it at any participating venue to enter a prize draw, with prizes donated by the Ayuntamiento de Peñaflor and collaborating entities. A separate online platform will give each participant one vote for the best tapa. The venue with the most votes wins the public prize, and voters will also enter a draw for a donated prize.

The programme schedules prize recognition at the Ayuntamiento on Sunday 15 November, during the reading of the jury’s minutes, or from Monday 16 November onward. Ruiz Herman said the route is intended to promote Peñaflor’s heritage and food while improving its visitor offer. Supporting quality tourism is another aim. The programme also encourages participation by food-service businesses, including bars and restaurants.

The event is linked to visits to Peñaflor’s historic and artistic heritage, including the Iglesia de San Pedro Apóstol, the Ermita de la Encarnación, the Castillo almohade and the archaeological site of Celti. The surrounding natural landscape is also part of the visitor experience.
