A UCO report names former judge Luis José Sáenz de Tejada Vallejo in an alleged campaign against Beatriz Biedma. Investigators are examining possible pressure on the case involving Pedro Sánchez's brother.

The UCO sent its report on 6 October to the Tribunal Central de Instancia, Plaza n.º 5, for proceedings led by judge Santiago Pedraz. The document names former judge Luis José Sáenz de Tejada Vallejo in an alleged campaign against magistrate Beatriz Biedma Rojano.

Investigators say the group under investigation in the Leire Díez case used Sáenz de Tejada to influence proceedings involving David Sánchez Pérez-Castejón. The report also lists 99 YouTube videos that mention Biedma or the case.

On 27 November 2024, the same day Biedma brought David Sánchez into the investigation, Sáenz de Tejada reportedly filed a second complaint against the magistrate. The episode predates the latest UCO report and provides important context for the alleged pressure campaign.

The document does not give a final assessment. The investigators describe it as a record of findings and working hypotheses, not a definitive judicial conclusion.

Witness Cynthia Rocho made the most serious new allegation. According to El País and Europa Press, she told the UCO that Sáenz de Tejada had spoken about the need to “eliminate” Biedma. Investigators are checking whether those words pointed to an intention to cause physical harm. Rocho's account remains a witness's recollection and does not by itself show that an attack was planned.

The alleged activity centres on the Badajoz proceedings involving David Sánchez, the brother of Spain's prime minister. Investigators see Sáenz de Tejada as a possible intermediary who tried to influence the case. Reports based on UCO materials also say he had contact with members of the Rocho clan in Badajoz. That alleged connection is still under investigation, and no finding of guilt has been made against the people mentioned.

The UCO materials reportedly describe a broader pressure campaign around Biedma, including hostile public messaging and possible efforts to affect the handling of the David Sánchez proceedings. The evidence is still being assessed by the court and has not resulted in final charges against all the people named in reporting.

El País

The online record is large, but it needs careful reading. A separate set of UCO materials identifies 99 YouTube videos that mention Biedma or the investigation into David Sánchez. El Independiente reported that the videos show the scale of the public attacks and discussion around the case. They do not, on their own, prove that a coordinated operation produced them.

Biedma has been admitted to the Leire Díez proceedings as a private prosecutor. That status allows her to take part in the investigation into alleged actions directed against her. El Debate reported that it gives the magistrate a formal role in examining evidence about the campaign and any possible threat to her safety.

The inquiry may now reach beyond alleged attempts to interfere with judicial proceedings. Authorities are also examining whether the reported contacts, public attacks and testimony about “eliminating” the judge point to an intimidation campaign. For now, the UCO report is material for Judge Santiago Pedraz, not a final finding. Available reports do not confirm definitive charges against every person mentioned.
