Ana Moya Speaks Openly for the First Time About Her Son’s Illness and Fears During Pregnancy

Ana Moya's Ordeal: While the Model Awaits a Child, Her Son Battles a Serious Illness

The well-known Spanish influencer is going through a difficult time. She is preparing to become a mother for the second time. However, her happiness is overshadowed by deep anxiety. Her eldest son’s health is a serious concern.

The life of popular Spanish model and influencer Ana Moya is currently like a rollercoaster, where dizzying joy gives way to chilling fear. As she prepares to welcome her second child—the first with footballer Diego Conde—her heart is torn with anxiety for her eldest son. Nine-year-old Mateo, from a previous relationship, has been battling an illness for more than two years, a struggle his mother has only now decided to talk about, breaking a long silence.

Ana’s honesty did not come easily. For a long time, she kept the family drama strictly private, but recent events compelled her to share her worries with her followers. In a series of social media posts, she revealed that the last few days have been a true test of endurance, filled with tension and worry. The reason was another hospitalization for Mateo, this time for a comprehensive examination at a Madrid clinic. Doctors are trying to understand the progression of the illness he has been living with for two and a half years.

The model admitted that living with constant anxiety and fear for her child has become her new normal. The situation worsened after an examination in the capital, when the boy’s condition deteriorated again. In Valencia, he was hospitalized once more with a high fever and vomiting. Ana suspects that he may have contracted a new infection during his previous stay at the medical facility. Despite all the challenges, she continues to admire her son’s courage. According to her, seeing Mateo endure such difficult moments with resilience and find the strength to move forward helps her realize what an incredibly strong child is growing up beside her.

Against this backdrop, Ana’s pregnancy has been much more difficult than her first. She suffers from persistent nausea and heartburn, which are only intensified by stress. Yet even amid these trials, there are moments of light. Recently, the whole family, including Mateo, attended an ultrasound to listen to the future baby’s heartbeat. According to Ana, this tender moment was wonderful, and doctors assured them that the baby is perfectly healthy. The journey to her second pregnancy was not easy: previously, she battled endometriosis and underwent several surgeries. She was able to conceive through IVF, which fortunately was successful on the first attempt. Her husband, Leganés goalkeeper Diego Conde, has been a tremendous support, caring for both her and Mateo, with whom he has built a warm relationship.
