On Friday morning in the Churriana district of Málaga, local police intervened in a large-scale party held in a rented house. More than a hundred people had gathered inside without any permits. The event organizer now faces charges for hosting entertainment activities without the required documentation, as well as for attempting to obstruct inspectors’ work.
Police were able to anticipate the event thanks to activity on social networks. Throughout the night, participants exchanged messages to confirm the exact meeting place. Entry to the party cost €25, and by the time police arrived at the house on Carretera de Coín, more than a hundred guests were already inside.
Local residents got involved by filing several complaints with the police about loud music and improperly parked cars. During the inspection, the owners of ten vehicles were fined, four of which had to be towed away. In addition, several guests received citations for relieving themselves in the street.
Restrictions and measures
Police not only shut down the party but also blocked new guests from entering. Everyone leaving the house was identified. Authorities also recorded another attempt to host a private event at a different house on Canal Street, also in Churriana. The organizer of that party faces administrative penalties for lacking a permit, though he agreed to end the event after being warned.
The authorities in Málaga have reminded residents of the importance of verifying the legality of events in advance, especially during the New Year and Christmas holidays. Organizers are encouraged to provide all necessary information regarding permits and event conditions.
Public Response
The incident sparked considerable reaction among Churriana residents. Many voiced concerns about safety and order in the area, particularly during the holiday season when such events become more frequent. Police emphasize that they will continue to monitor compliance and respond promptly to violations.
Authorities remind everyone that participating in unauthorized parties can result in fines not only for organizers but also for guests. Special attention is being paid to noise, parking, and the maintenance of public order. As the holidays approach, monitoring of such events will intensify further.
