A major scandal has erupted in Alicante: three men have been jailed after being accused of kidnapping and abusing a woman. According to investigators, the victim was held in an apartment where drug trafficking was allegedly taking place. She spent an entire week there, deprived of her freedom and subjected to violence.
The main suspect in the case is a man believed to be the ringleader. According to authorities, he was the one who deprived the woman of her freedom and committed acts of violence against her. The two other detainees reportedly helped keep the victim in the apartment, but claim they were acting under pressure from the main suspect.
Police were led to the perpetrators thanks to a chance visit from a woman who came to the apartment to buy illegal substances. She noticed the victim was in extremely poor condition and immediately contacted law enforcement. Her actions allowed officers to intervene quickly and rescue the woman.
When police arrived at the scene, they found the woman barely conscious with burns on her body. Two alleged accomplices were in the apartment and were immediately detained. The suspected ringleader had already been arrested earlier on unrelated charges.
After being freed, the victim required urgent medical attention. All three suspects are currently in custody as the investigation continues to uncover all the details of the incident. This case once again raises concerns about safety in such areas and the need for oversight of drug dens.
