Apple’s collection pairs cameras with a video doorbell, then adds a smart lock. LG Electronics and Schneider Electric supply the hardware. US and Canadian sales start in December; UK sales do too. Spain has no date or euro prices.
Apple presented its Home Collection on 13 October 2026, with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric supplying the hardware. LG is making the cameras, video doorbell and smart lock. Schneider Electric is supplying a thermostat and a room sensor.
Sales start in December in the United States and Canada. The United Kingdom is also on the launch schedule. Apple plans to sell the collection through its online store. Customers can also buy it through the Apple Store app or at retail stores. Some accessories will not arrive until early 2027.
The rollout varies by product. LG’s cameras are planned for all three launch markets, while the lock and some thermostats are initially intended for the United States and Canada. Apple has not confirmed Spanish availability or euro prices.
For buyers in Spain, regional availability is the sticking point, not device compatibility. HomeView will not be sold in the European Union. The collection can use a HomePod as its smart home hub. A HomePod mini works too, as does an Apple TV 4K. Setup runs through an iPhone, and Apple Home manages the accessories without separate LG or Schneider Electric apps or accounts.
LG’s three cameras record at up to 2.5K. They can identify people and familiar faces. Pet recognition is included, and the cameras can also detect vehicles or parcels. The lineup includes indoor and outdoor cameras. A separate outdoor model has a floodlight.
Recordings stay available for ten days through the user’s iCloud+ plan at no extra charge. The 50GB plan supports one camera. With 200GB, users can connect up to five. The 2TB plan supports an unlimited number. Apple says Apple Intelligence and iCloud+ can provide video descriptions and let users search footage with natural-language queries. Built-in storage keeps recording if Wi-Fi drops.
The outdoor surveillance camera costs $199.95. The outdoor camera is $299.95, while the model with a light costs $399.95.
At the front door, LG’s Smart Deadbolt uses ultra-wideband, or UWB, to detect an approaching user. With a compatible Home Key on an iPhone or Apple Watch, it can unlock automatically. Owners can also open it from either device, with a keypad or by using an emergency key. The lock detects when the door opens or closes, and it can register tampering. It sends an alert if the door is left open, even when the deadbolt is engaged.
LG’s video doorbell has two cameras, giving separate views of visitors and parcels. It also has a light. When someone rings, HomeView can play an alert. HomePod and HomePod mini can do the same. An iPhone or iPad receives a notification, and the user can view the visitor and speak to them. The door can then be opened with a tap or through Siri. The lock costs $349.95; the doorbell is $249.95.
The collection includes one thermostat from LG and another from Schneider Electric. Apple’s Casa app can adjust temperatures based on whether someone is home. It can also account for sleep preparation or an empty home, without a manually programmed schedule. The thermostats and separate temperature and humidity sensors support Matter and work with different heating and cooling systems.
Sensors in HomeView can measure temperatures in multiple rooms. HomePod and HomePod mini can do that as well. Schneider Electric has also developed the Power Mount wall attachment for Apple HomeView.
Each thermostat costs $199.95. LG’s temperature sensor is priced at $39.95, the same price as Schneider Home’s room sensor. Apple says users configure the accessories on an iPhone and control them through the Casa app or Siri, without separate apps or accounts. The accessories use end-to-end encryption.
