Exlantix RX Concept: Chery's New Technological Brand Enters the Spanish Market. Chery Auto has officially announced the launch of the Exlantix brand in Spain in 2027. The company unveiled the RX concept and revealed details of its upcoming premium electric vehicle lineup aimed at the European market.

Chery Auto has announced the launch of a new brand, Exlantix, in Spain, which is set to enter the market in the first half of 2027. The company has already unveiled its first concept car — the Exlantix RX Concept, which sets the visual and technological direction for the entire future lineup. According to RUSSPAIN, this move is one of the most notable steps in the Chinese automotive giant’s strategy to strengthen its position in Europe.

Exlantix is positioned as a premium, technology-focused brand fully dedicated to electrification. It grew out of the EXEED project, which Chery launched back in 2017 to create high-class vehicles. Now Exlantix will focus exclusively on 'new energy vehicles' and become the flagbearer of innovation for the entire group.

The name Exlantix refers to the mythical Atlantis, highlighting its link to technological progress and modern design. In Spain, the brand will launch with two E-segment models — the electric sedan Exlantix ES and the large SUV Exlantix ET, both over 4.9 meters long. Both vehicles will feature fully electric powertrains and an 800-volt architecture, enabling ultra-fast charging and strong dynamic performance. Hybrid versions will also join the lineup in the future.

The third model for the Spanish market will be the Exlantix ES GT — a sporty cross-touring vehicle which recently debuted at the Beijing Auto Show. This new model emphasizes technology and comfort and features a unique interior design. Alongside the ES GT, the large SUV EX8 was also shown; both vehicles follow the 'Stellar Inspiration' style, but interpret the brand’s philosophy in different ways.

The main premiere was the Exlantix RX Concept—a prototype that defines the brand's future image. The design is by Christos Pavlidis, formerly of Ferrari. The new style, named 'Perpetua,' features flowing proportions, sculpted surfaces, and an emotional approach to form. The RX Concept stands out with expressive LED lighting, elements inspired by jewelry design, and a dynamic silhouette with clean aerodynamic lines. The rear lights are integrated into the body, while an elegant spoiler highlights the model’s advanced technology.

According to Exlantix representatives, the RX Concept not only showcases the design of future models, but also sets the brand's development strategy: a blend of emotion, precision, and advanced technology. The company is focusing on the premium segment, where competition among Chinese manufacturers in Europe is becoming increasingly intense.

The expansion of Chinese brands in the European market is gaining momentum: Omoda, Jaecoo, and Ebro are already strengthening their positions in Spain, while Chery, together with Exlantix, aims to reach a new level. By comparison, other global brands are also actively developing electric lineups—for example, Renault recently unveiled a new pickup for Latin America, which will not appear in Europe. More details can be found in the article about the launch of the Renault Niagara.

The arrival of Exlantix in Spain could intensify competition in the premium electric vehicle segment and accelerate the market's shift to new technologies. The first production models are expected to debut within the next two years, with the RX Concept serving as the starting point for the entire future lineup.
