Monday looks wetter, with rain expected before dawn and possibly lasting until midday. Showers should ease by noon, but the sky will stay cloudy. Temperatures will barely shift: the high will drop to 28°C and the low rise to 22°C. Winds will turn southeast and remain light.
Tuesday brings more of the same, with intermittent rain and shifting clouds in the forecast. The high will return to 29°C and the low rise to 23°C. The southeast wind will linger, barely noticeable, as unsettled conditions continue.
Nearby cities face similar conditions. In L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, thick clouds are expected from morning through afternoon, with temperatures matching Barcelona: lows of 19°C and highs of 29°C. Tarragona will see dense clouds from midnight until midday. The sky may brighten later but is not expected to clear, and temperatures will range from 20°C to 28°C.
Meteocat has issued a yellow alert for most coastal areas of Catalonia from 8:00 Monday to 20:00 Tuesday, warning of possible heavy showers and thunderstorms. The regional warning extends beyond Barcelona, affecting much of the Catalan coastline, as several Spanish media outlets have also reported.
Other cities across Catalonia and beyond: Girona, Figueres, Huesca, Castellón de la Plana, Zaragoza, Teruel, Calahorra, Cuenca, Badajoz, Gijón, Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Oria, El Ejido and Salamanca, face similar cloud cover and steady temperatures, with rain possible.
