Ground News also indexed the Maldita.es fact-check as a warning about the supposed tragedy, not as coverage of a confirmed criminal investigation. The account’s claims about the deaths and emergency response should not be treated as established facts. Nor should its reported police inquiry.
Manarola is a village in Liguria associated with the Cinque Terre. The council’s reported denial is the basic institutional statement in the fact-check. Without authenticated documentation from Italian authorities, the story should not be presented as a real incident.
The material also refers to a separate alleged case in Madrid involving an 84-year-old man and his daughter-in-law. That account is distinct from the Manarola claim. The Biescas camping flood anniversary is a separate historical event and does not substantiate either account.
