The Black Edition’s exterior is defined by glossy black finishes on key elements such as the grille, exterior moldings, mirror caps, roof rails, window trim, bumpers, and underbody protection. Even the Kia and Sportage badges are finished in black, while a dark metallic trim on the grille adds a subtle contrast. Standard LED headlights are included, with matrix LED units available as an option. Alloy wheels in 17, 18, or 19-inch sizes, all in glossy black, further reinforce the edition’s unique look. The most powerful option is the plug-in hybrid (PHEV), which pairs the 1.6 T-GDI engine with a larger battery and electric motor for a combined 288 hp. This version offers up to 65 kilometers of electric-only range and carries the coveted Zero Emissions label. It comes with a six-speed automatic and, for the first time in this configuration, allows buyers to choose between front-wheel and all-wheel drive.
