Orders have opened in Spain for XPENG’s L03 PowerX Long Range. It is rated for 215km on battery power and 1,017km combined under WLTP.

The petrol engine in the Spanish-market L03 does not drive the wheels. A 178kW rear electric motor does that job, while a 1.5-litre engine generates electricity. XPENG opened orders for the L03 PowerX Long Range on 15 October 2026, with first deliveries due in December 2026.

Its 37.2kWh LFP battery is rated for up to 215km of electric range under WLTP. When needed, the generator can supply electricity, and a 42-litre fuel tank helps lift the combined WLTP figure to 1,017km. Diariomotor reports 242hp and a 0 to 100km/h time of 6.8 seconds. That 1,017km figure comes from homologation, not a real-world range test.

Charging reaches up to 11kW on AC. The DC maximum is 123kW, and XPENG says a charge from 10 to 80 per cent takes about 20 minutes in suitable conditions.

The SUV coupé measures 4.65 metres long, with a 2.85-metre wheelbase. XPENG claims a drag coefficient of 0.228 Cx. Juanma López, formerly Ferrari’s head of design, is credited with the styling, which follows the company’s Vital Flow design philosophy.

Inside, a 15.6-inch central display is paired with an 8.9-inch instrument screen. The 26.8-inch W-HUD projects information into the driver’s field of view. XOS 6 includes Google Maps and Apple CarPlay. Android Auto is also supported, alongside free OTA software updates. The XOPERA audio system has nine speakers.

The cabin seats five and offers up to 37 storage spaces. Boot capacity is 367 litres, and the rear seats fold in a 40/20/40 layout. Dual-zone climate control includes a heat pump. The front seats have electric adjustment, heating and ventilation.

XPILOT Assist includes adaptive cruise control and lane keeping with centring. It also lists traffic-sign recognition and autonomous emergency braking. Blind-spot detection and a 360-degree camera are included.

Spanish coverage names the Leapmotor C10 REEV as the closest mechanical rival. It also uses a petrol engine as a generator for electric drive. The BYD Seal U DM-i is cited as an alternative for buyers seeking some electric-only driving. The MG HS plug-in hybrid is another option. The EBRO S700 report covered another electrified SUV competing in Spain.

The L03 starts at €37,500, a Spanish price reported with commercial campaigns, financing conditions and available subsidies included. It may not be the undiscounted list price. The model pairs a 178kW output, equivalent to 242hp, with a 1.5-litre petrol generator. Spanish reports also say it carries a DGT “CERO” environmental label. XPENG says fully electric versions will join the range during 2027. Ultra variants are also due that year.

The model launched in July 2026. Electric Vehicles reported XPENG’s claim of more than 12,000 L03 orders across Europe since launch. The same publication put the German starting price for the L03 Power X at about €38,600.
