On the last day of 2025, residents of Catalonia followed the Grossa de Cap d’Any lottery draw with bated breath once again. This lottery, now a regional tradition since 2013, is always met with excitement. This year, there were 100,000 different numbers up for grabs, each distributed across 35 series. Five series were available electronically, while the rest were on paper tickets. Each ticket cost 10 euros.
The drawing consisted of eight consecutive prize draws, starting with the fifth prize and culminating in the top award—the so-called Grossa. All stages were broadcast live, watched by thousands across Catalonia.
Winners and prizes
The grand prize of 200,000 euros per ticket went to number 01379. The winning ticket was sold in El Vendrell. The second-largest prize—65,000 euros—was awarded to number 92574, with tickets sold in Santa Coloma de Cervelló and Girona.
The third prize, worth 30,000 euros, went to number 73762. Winners bought their tickets in Parets del Vallès and online. The two fourth prizes, 10,000 euros each, went to numbers 29181 and 15376. The first was purchased in Cambrils and Campdurà, the second in Palau-solità i Plegamans, El Vendrell, and online.
The fifth prizes of 5,000 euros each went to numbers 34006, 20005, and 68675. Tickets for 34006 were sold in El Prat de Llobregat and Súria, while 20005 was exclusive to Barcelona, and 68675 to Gelida.
Additional prizes
In addition to the main prizes, organizers provided thousands of extra payouts. These are awarded for matches on the last digits, as well as for numbers immediately before or after the winning numbers. This gives more participants a chance to try their luck and receive a small but pleasant bonus.
It’s important to note that all winnings over €40,000 are subject to a 20% tax. Prizes of lesser amounts are exempt from taxation. Winnings can be claimed within 90 days after the draw, that is, until the end of March 2026.
Gala and atmosphere
The lottery was held in a festive atmosphere. The gala show hosts were Llucià Ferrer and Nerea Sanfe. The event was broadcast live not only on television but also online, where viewers followed real-time updates.
