
In Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid) on Tuesday morning, Civil Guard officers stopped a vehicle for inspection, but the driver ignored their order to stop and attempted to flee. The chase continued for several kilometers, during which the man drove at high speed, crossing into the oncoming lane between Torrejón de Ardoz and San Fernando de Henares.
During the pursuit, one of the Civil Guard officers had to step aside to avoid being hit. A few hundred meters later, the driver braked sharply, and when a second officer approached the car, the man ran him over at high speed. As a result, the officer ended up on the ground together with his service motorcycle. This moment was captured on video, which was published on social media by the AUGC union.
Weapons and uniform in the car
After a short chase, the vehicle was stopped. During the search of the interior, officers discovered several firearms as well as uniforms and insignia imitating the equipment of law enforcement agencies. The man was detained on the spot.
Charges and consequences
According to Spanish media, the detainee has been charged with reckless driving, causing injury, and assaulting a law enforcement officer. The injured Civil Guard officers sustained varying degrees of injury. The AUGC union expressed support for their colleagues and noted the swift arrest of the suspect and seizure of the weapons.
The incident caused a stir in the region due to the presence in the car not only of weapons, but also elements of uniforms belonging to security forces. Authorities stress the importance of vigilance during road inspections, noting that such cases require special attention from law enforcement agencies.
