On Tuesday, Madrid is expected to see a noticeable warming: air temperatures will rise to 29 degrees, and the sky will remain mostly cloudy. According to the Agencia Estatal de Meteorología (AEMET), the morning will start with high clouds, cloud cover will increase during the day, and it will clear up again by evening. No significant precipitation is expected, although a brief thunderstorm is possible in the second half of the day. The minimum temperature at night will be around 14 degrees, feeling like 15. A light southern wind will persist throughout the day.
Weather for the coming days
On Wednesday, forecasters predict clearer skies: there will be fewer clouds, and the maximum temperature will drop to 26 degrees. At night, the temperature will stay around 15 degrees, and the daytime feels-like temperature will not exceed 25. The wind will shift to the southwest, remaining light.
On Thursday, the chance of precipitation is minimal. High clouds are expected in the morning, but by noon the sky will clear. Temperatures will once again exceed 29 degrees, with nighttime values remaining around 15. The wind will continue from the south and will not strengthen.
Weekend: rain and cooling
Saturday will bring dense cloud cover and rain to Madrid. The maximum temperature will drop to 23 degrees, with the minimum holding at 15. The wind will be light and from the southeast. On Sunday, precipitation will stop, but the clouds will remain. Temperatures will rise to 27 degrees during the day, with no changes expected at night. The wind will die down.
Weather changes in the capital coincide with unstable conditions in other regions of the country. For example, in Seville, heat and brief downpours have already affected the Feria de Abril — more about this can be found in the article on weather anomalies in southern Spain.
Neighboring cities and regions
Weather fluctuations are also expected in the suburbs of Madrid. In Las Rozas, high clouds are forecast in the morning, with variable cloudiness during the day. Temperatures will range from 10 to 28 degrees. In Brunete, the morning will start with high clouds, while in the afternoon the sky will become overcast, with temperatures between 11 and 27 degrees.
In other cities of central Spain — Guadalajara, Toledo, Segovia, Ávila, Cuenca, as well as Tomelloso, Motril, Zaragoza, Cartagena, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, León, Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Sabadell, and Getxo — meteorologists also note changing weather. Forecasts for these municipalities are being updated as new data becomes available.
