Lamborghini Prepares Revuelto SV: The Horsepower Battle with Ferrari Reaches a New Level

The hybrid Lamborghini Revuelto SV could deliver up to 1,300 hp and debut in 2027

Lamborghini is working on the most extreme version of the Revuelto—a hybrid SV boasting up to 1,300 hp. The new model is aimed directly at competing with the Ferrari F80 and could hit the market in 2027.

A new race is heating up in the hypercar segment: Lamborghini is preparing to launch the Revuelto SV—the most radical version of its hybrid flagship, which, according to Auto Bild, may deliver up to 1,300 hp and become a response to the Ferrari F80. For the Spanish market, where interest in exclusive supercars remains consistently high, the arrival of such a model is not just another premiere but an event capable of changing the balance of power in the ultra-rare and luxury car segment.

Revuelto SV: the pursuit of maximum performance

The Revuelto has already become Lamborghini’s first hybrid model, combining a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 with three electric motors. In the standard version, total output reaches 1,015 hp, which has cemented the model’s special status among hypercars officially available on the Spanish market. However, Sant’Agata Bolognese decided not to stop there: the SV (Super Veloce) version traditionally stands for maximum performance and aggressive tuning, and this exact approach has been chosen for the new Revuelto SV.

Recently, a camouflaged Revuelto prototype with the inscription “Macchina Veloce” was spotted in Italy, clearly hinting at the development of the fastest version. Externally, the car features a reworked aerodynamic kit: a massive fixed rear wing, a new diffuser, and additional elements on the front end. To reduce weight, engineers are using even more carbon fiber, including an updated monocoque—especially crucial for dynamics and handling on the track.

Technical duel with the Ferrari F80

The main intrigue is the expected power output of the Revuelto SV. According to preliminary data, the hybrid system will be boosted to 1,200–1,300 hp, allowing Lamborghini not only to catch up with but also surpass the Ferrari F80, which is equipped with a 1,200-hp V6 biturbo. Importantly, the Revuelto SV’s architecture with a naturally aspirated V12 and three electric motors provides not only high output, but also improved traction at launch, which could be an advantage on Spanish racetracks and in urban traffic.

The SV is expected to receive a dedicated suspension setup with stiffer characteristics, while weight reduction and revised aerodynamics will allow the powertrain’s full potential to be realized. However, as Auto Bild notes, exact specifications and performance figures have not yet been disclosed, and the project is still in the testing phase.

Spanish market and outlook

If the information is confirmed, the Lamborghini Revuelto SV may reach the market in 2027. For Spain, where demand for exclusive supercar versions is traditionally high, the arrival of this model will be a significant event. Recall that the Ferrari F80 was introduced at the end of 2025 with a limited run of 799 units, which have already started to reach customers. The number of Revuelto SV units for Spain has yet to be confirmed, as do details about pricing and specifications.

Amid growing competition among hybrid hypercars, it is worth recalling how other brands are looking to find their niche: for example, Audi’s withdrawal of the A1 from its Spanish plant and a shift towards electric vehicles have sparked much debate about the future of traditional engines — you can read more about this in our feature about the changes at the plant in Martorell. Against this backdrop, Lamborghini’s bet on a powerful hybrid with a naturally aspirated V12 looks particularly bold and is likely to attract the attention of collectors and enthusiasts for whom not only speed but also the uniqueness of engineering approach matters.

The Revuelto SV is not just another track version, but a potential new flagship for those seeking maximum emotion and rarity. The Spanish market, where the combination of tradition and modern technology is highly valued, will surely greet such a novelty with interest, especially considering the historic rivalry between Lamborghini and Ferrari that has lasted for over half a century.
