In Ávila, police arrested a man who had been evading justice for a long time, despite 12 active court cases against him. According to law enforcement, the detainee displayed aggressive behavior and regularly posted videos on social media showing firearms. The most serious charge involves sexual assault of a minor, but most cases relate to episodes of domestic violence and threats against former partners.
Surveillance and arrest
The operation to capture the fugitive began after police received information about his possible whereabouts in Ávila. Officers note that the man was particularly active online, posting videos recorded at home where he openly displayed firearms. This allowed investigators to determine his exact address and prepare for the arrest. The operation involved not only fugitive search specialists, but also members of Grupo Especial de Operaciones (GEO), officers from Unidad de Intervención Policial (UIP), canine units, and air support.
Pressure on former partners
Since 2021, numerous complaints have been filed against the man by former companions. According to police, he created an atmosphere of fear, threatening victims with violence over the phone, using both his own numbers and those of relatives or social media accounts. In several cases, the violence escalated to physical assaults: victims were beaten, humiliated, and one woman was held in his apartment for more than a week. The detainee’s relatives helped him hide, providing protection and shelter in one of the city’s districts.
Context and Other Cases
The list of charges against the detainee includes not only sexual assault and domestic violence, but also violation of court orders, threats, blackmail, and illegal dissemination of personal information. Such cases, where suspects in serious crimes continue to evade justice and even lead public lives, are not isolated. For example, recently in Malaga, police uncovered the kidnapping of a gaming salon manager, where suspects also tried to escape responsibility — details of this case are available here.
